Apparently my benchmark stats are accurate! SGI’s library (part of the C++ standard library) really is 20 times slower than librope. Its slower because it has stupid memory allocation patterns and for some reason it spends all its time locking and unlocking mutexes. Did they not even bother benchmarking it or trying to optimize the algorithm? I’m so confused!

I really hope nobody uses it. It makes me worry about the performance of the rest of the STL if that slow behemoth of code made it into the standard library.
